Dr. Keri Weidman

Veterinarian (DVM)

Keri Strause

Hello! My name is Dr. Keri Weidman. I started Animal Clinic of Elkhorn in 2008 with the help of my now current partners. I am originally from SE Wisconsin and grew up on a beef and swine farm. I have always been around animals and currently have a beef farm in Delavan with my family. My children are active in 4-H and show livestock and poultry. I believe that all pet owners should have the options to provide the best care that they can and believe in helping assist pet owners with this. Outside of work I enjoy attending my kids sporting events, livestock events, and spending time with our animals on the farm.

Dr. Becky Karrels

Veterinarian (DVM)

Animal Clinic of Elkhorn Logo

Dr. Becky joined our team after graduation in 2018. Being an Elkhorn local, she went to school at UW-Platteville and then veterinary school at Michigan State! She currently has a houseful of three human children, four dogs, and four feline friends! She has nothing but an absolute love and passion for giving her patients all of the love and snuggles! In her downtime, she loves spending her time in faith, taking her family camping, and spending time outdoors — gardening, swimming, reading — anything in the sunshine!

Dr. Maegan Kreuscher

Maegan Kreuscher

Veterinarian (DVM)

Dr. Maegan grew up on a small family farm in Kansasville, Wisconsin, and developed a lifelong passion for animal care. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from UW–Platteville in 2020 before graduating from the UW–Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2026. She joined our practice in June 2026 and is excited to provide compassionate care to the community while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Outside of work, Dr. Maegan enjoys crafting, spending time with her cattle, helping on her family farm, and making memories with family and friends.

Dr. Sam Ruch

Veterinarian (DVM)

Samuel Ruch

Dr. Samuel Ruch is a mixed animal veterinarian with strong professional interests in both surgery and internal medicine. He is deeply passionate about animal health and wellness, a dedication that stems from his childhood growing up as a veterinarian's son. Dr. Ruch earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in January 2024. Outside of his time in the office, Dr. Ruch enjoys an active lifestyle and values quality time spent with his family, friends, and his dog, Matilda. His personal hobbies include exercising, golfing, fishing, and camping.

As a Certified Veterinary Technician, I have been proud to serve the patients and families of Animal Clinic of Elkhorn for the past two years. My passion for animal care comes from a lifelong love of pets and the unique relationships they share with their families. At home, I stay busy with my son, three dogs, and two cats, who continually remind me of the joy and companionship animals bring to our lives. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the special bond between people and their pets and helping to support that connection through compassionate, high-quality care. I am dedicated to making every visit a positive experience for both pets and the people who love them.

I have always had a love for animals, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career around caring for them. With 10 years of experience in the veterinary field, I am passionate about providing compassionate, personalized care to every pet and family I meet. At home, I’m a wife and mom to two young children, along with two dogs and a cat—so I know firsthand that our pets truly are part of the family. Outside of veterinary medicine, I also have the privilege of running a business with my mom. Between work, family, and our pets, life is always busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I've been with the Animal Clinic of Elkhorn since 2022. My goal is to provide the best care possible and to treat every animal as though they are my own fur babies. Veterinary medicine has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I live with my wife, three dogs, two cats, two bunnies, and a leopard gecko. When I'm not here, I enjoy hiking, painting, and gardening.

I have been a veterinary technician for 15 years and have proudly worked with Animal Clinic of Elkhorn and its sister clinics since 2006. My passion for animal health extends beyond the clinic and into my personal life. I live on a small farmette with my husband, our two children, and a lively collection of animals, including five cats, two dogs, one snake, and sixteen chickens. Being surrounded by animals every day gives me a unique perspective and deep appreciation for the human-animal bond.
